My Story

When she was young, on an ordinary day after school, Chloe's routine took an unexpected turn that would shape her character. As the final bell rang, signaling the end of the day but before packing her bag to head home, she happened to glance out the window, and with laser focus, she noticed a small, shivering puppy huddled on the ground coming out of the bushes, lost and desperately seeking warmth and comfort. The sight pulled at her emotions, the puppy crept slowly, its tiny body trembling with cold, and suddenly an approaching delivery man came rushing by, instead of helping, the man reacted harshly, swatting the puppy away. Chloe felt another surge of emotion, this time, anger added to her compassion; she couldn’t stand by and watch any longer, she sprang into action.

She had to think, and think fast she did, she took the puppy to her best friend’s home, walking distance from school, perfect!  Knowing that together they would be wonderful for one another and provide love for each other. Once there, they wrapped the puppy in a soft blanket, and Chloe watched as her friend’s heart melted at the sight of the tiny creature, perfect! It wasn’t long before her friend declared that she wanted to keep the puppy, and Chloe felt a wave of relief. She knew the puppy would be safe and loved, perfect! Reflecting on that day, Chloe realized how it had changed her, what makes her happy and fulfilled. That cold, shivering puppy became a symbol of hope and resilience in Chloe’s life.  She felt empowered, inspired, knowing that even a small act could make a significant impact, and that kindness can change and shape an entire community, however large or small.  The experience instilled in her a lifelong commitment to helping those who cannot help themselves, shaping her into a more empathetic and courageous person.

Chloe is actively engaged in a variety of academic, extracurricular, and outside-of-school activities that reflect her commitment to both her studies and community service. As a dedicated athlete, she participates in sports such as softball, soccer, and basketball, showcasing her teamwork and spirit. In addition to her athletic pursuits, Chloe volunteers with animals during her free time, demonstrating her compassion and dedication to helping those in need. She has served on the student board, participated in student council, and held the position of house captain from as young as seven years old. Additionally, Chloe contributes as a layouter for the school magazine, assists disabled children, engages in debates through the Mock Trial club at school, and actively raises funds for medical supplies for children in rural areas, showing her devotion to making a positive impact in her community.

Chloe’s objectives for attending a university are centered on her aspirations to pursue a future surrounding either humanitarian aid or biology with a focus on the S.T.E.A.M disciplines. She aims to study subjects relating to biology and animal welfare, equipping her with the knowledge to further pursue this as a career. Chloe envisions a future where she can integrate her passion for helping animals with her academic pursuits, ultimately working in roles that address humanitarian and animal rights and welfare. As a global citizen, her philosophy is to help everyone, everywhere, for all living beings in the world we live in, and to have fun, enjoying her time in this world doing the right thing!
